Our mission at Cleaner Creeks is to create cool gear for cool people, all while supporting local nonprofits and volunteer groups.
Why Cleaner Creeks?

While some may call Goose a “Local Unicorn” he prefers the allure of Bigfoot. Inspired by his 9th generation WNC roots, his family and his love for the area’s natural beauty, Goose decided to start Cleaner Creeks as a way to give back. With a Recreation Management degree from Appalachian State University and passion for serving his community in the public sector, Goose noticed something was missing.
While there are multiple amazing nonprofits and volunteer groups that support the miles upon miles of rivers, there wasn’t a unified way to support them all. Cleaner Creeks is here to change that!
Goose established Cleaner Creeks to tackle the constant negative impacts that rivers like the French Broad River face. Many creeks and rivers are littered with trash from summertime tourists’ municipal wastes, and hazardous chemical dumping. It has been stated that “dilution is the solution for pollution” in reality, it only leads to water pollution. This pollution not only affects the aquatic critters but also threatens the safety of those tubers, kayakers, and others using the waterways. With the health of the river and its regular users in mind, Goose started Cleaner Creeks to create awareness and give back to the local heroes who work for different non-profits or volunteer groups who work to keep these rivers clean.
Cleaner Creek’s is here to provide quality gear as a means to help support those who are on the frontline of keeping the waterways safe and clean.
